MoQ Studio

Architecture

Catalog

MoQ Studio control plane catalog: title master, versions, rights windows, governance, and API/agent ops — with .dev as the runtime demo surface.

Part of the catalog pillar (epic on the desk repo). .dev demos the title-master model for community/presentation; MoQ Studio on colorbars.pro is the control plane. No third-party vendor names in product copy.

Five pillars

  1. Title master — authoritative title / season / episode (or film) records.
  2. Versions — broadcast, streaming, localized, and technical variants of a title.
  3. Rights & windows — territory and availability windows that gate who may list or play.
  4. Governance — draft → review → publish stages with RBAC (owner / team / scoped user).
  5. API / agent ops — machine-readable catalog ops; hand off subscribe proof to the desk runtime.

This week (theater)

  • Catalog + Claims AccessPreview — claim-gated rows stand in for rights windows (geo / codec / publish tags).
  • Claims → desk JWT lab with source=pro (live mint stays on colorbars.dev).
  • OTP Manage walkthrough for operator RBAC story — no Okta this week.

Follow-on (CRUD / API)

Persisted title-master CRUD, rights windows as data, stage transitions, and agent-facing catalog endpoints. Runtime playback and Linear/Events demos remain on the desk.

Shared vocabulary with the desk

Suite claims (catalog:read, geo/codec scopes) map to desk scopes subscribe, catalog, tenant. Prefer “title”, “version”, “window”, and “stage” in pitch language — not vendor catalog product names.
